SHOPLC OVERVIEW:

A subsidiary of VGL, Shop LC was established in Austin, TX in 2007 and is now broadcasting live to 75-million homes in US. Our growing eCom presence is through our website https://www.shoplc.com/. Shop LC ships approx. 25,000 products to its US customers every day. Shop LC, US employs approx. 550 people in operations such as warehousing, customer service, merchandising, marketing, eCom, Marketplaces, Live Studio. Its management resides at the US headquarters in Austin, with extended support from the Global Headquarters in India.  United States in our largest market and delivers the highest revenue share. The contribution of this region to our consolidated revenue stands at 68%.

TJC OVERVIEW:

TJC ships approx. 12000 products to its UK customers every day. TJC employs approx. 220 people in London in various divisions with extended teams in India.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparing TV program schedules to meet budgetary goals, identifying potential opportunities and minimizing risk.
  • Managing the calendar planning process for upcoming days and weeks.
  • Live sales support activities on a day-to-day basis.
  • Analyze sales performance and generate forward proposals of sales plan in schedules
  • Review and manage EPG calendar
  • Collaborate with buyers to co-manage category strategies, considering customer requirements and supply chain management.
  • Ensure accurate sales from the plan given in prep.
  • Prepare, attend, and present at sales review meetings.
  • Carrying out the show prep sessions remotely with the sales team including presenter, producer, director, and other crew members.
  • Manage phasing to optimize product mix for on-air schedule efficiency.
  • Managing aged inventory and product life cycle with smart scheduling and upsell.
  • Focus on daily, weekly, and monthly margin improvement, proposing scheduling alternatives to maximize sales.
  • Collaborate with Logistics to track upcoming shipments and communicate relevant information to the Scheduling Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Might require visiting TJC UK business for regular training and assistance, as frequent as once every year.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in merchandising planning, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in analyzing sales data and market trends.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with a deep understanding of the retail industry.
  • Proficiency in using merchandise planning tools and software.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Convincing ability to turn around the discussions into agreement.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with scheduling or television programming is a plus.
