Role Intro: - Assistant Buyer
We are looking for an experienced and result-driven - Assistant Buyer to join our TJC UK Team.

Overview:

• Assistant Buyer will need to assist Buyers, making sure that the critical path is running smoothly, to build 
  close relationships with suppliers, and Merchandisers.
• The person will be responsible to provide analytical, operational, and clerical support to buyers. Passionate 
  and knowledgeable about their industry and company, including everything from market trends to product 
  details.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Follow up on running orders with suppliers, state of production, ETD/ETA
• Follow up on samples/QC/certificates on ordered itemsFollow up on running offers
• Follow up on ordering planning/calendar
• Coordinate with scheduling for shows
• Coordinate with marketing for promos
• Coordinate with goods-in for shipments/samples shipments
• Researching new suppliers and making recommendations to the buyer.
• Preparing competitive retail and pricing strategies.
• Planning, monitoring and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
• Preparing budgets and forecasting purchasing trends.
• Compiling reports on product performance and statistics.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience is required.
• Degree in business, economics, marketing or related field preferred.
• Experience with merchandising software systems is a plus.
• Previous experience in the merchandising or retail industry is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
• Accuracy in data capture and data entry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Able to work independently
